Overview
Minor depression is a mental health condition characterized by symptoms such as feeling down or hopeless, losing interest in activities, and decreased energy for several weeks. Although the symptoms of minor depression may not be as severe as major depression, it can still have a significant impact on a person’s life and can cause difficulty functioning in everyday life. Treatment may include psychotherapy, antidepressant medications, lifestyle changes, and self-care strategies. Early recognition and diagnosis of minor depression can help improve outcomes, reduce the associated risks, and improve quality of life.
