Biography
Faruk Uguz is affiliated with Necmettin Erbakan University in Konya, Turkey, where his research focuses on psychiatric disorders in medical populations and perinatal mental health. His work examines the incidence, clinical features, and associated factors of mood, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorders across diverse patient groups, including pregnant and postpartum women, as well as individuals with chronic medical conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, and chronic kidney disease. His most-cited publication, "Neonatal and Childhood Outcomes in Offspring of Pregnant Women Using Antidepressant Medications: A Critical Review of Current Meta‐Analyses" (2020), has received 22 citations and reflects his sustained interest in the safety and outcomes of psychotropic medication use during pregnancy.
