Biography:
Dr. M. Rajajeyakumar Manivel is an Assistant Professor of Physiology at Saveetha Medical College, Chennai, with expertise spanning autonomic function, neurophysiology, and medical education. After completing his MBBS and MD in Physiology from JIPMER, he pursued further specialization with an MSc in Yoga, integrating traditional practices with modern physiology. His research focuses on autonomic function tests, heart rate variability, tilt-table studies, and electrophysiological techniques such as EMG and nerve conduction. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and actively contributes as a reviewer and editorial board member for numerous journals. His work also extends to lifestyle medicine, exploring the effects of yoga and pranayama on cardiovascular and autonomic health, and to public health topics including obesity, diabetes, and infertility. With consistent academic contributions, Dr. Manivel participates in national and international conferences, presenting work that bridges basic physiology, clinical research, and medical training.
