Careful preparation helps your manuscript move through the editorial process efficiently.
- Scope alignment — confirm that the manuscript addresses one or more of JHHR’s nine areas and has a direct, meaningful connection to human health.
- Author guidelines — review the Instructions for Authors for formatting requirements, word limits, and structural expectations.
- Ethical compliance — ensure ethical approval is documented for human subjects research, with IRB/ethics committee approval numbers included in the manuscript.
- Clinical trial registration — verify prospective registration for interventional studies (ClinicalTrials.gov, ISRCTN, or equivalent).
- Reporting guidelines — confirm adherence to the relevant reporting standard (CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE) for your study design.
- Figure preparation — prepare high-resolution figures as separate files (minimum 300 DPI) in TIFF, EPS, or high-quality JPEG/PNG.
