Aims and Scope

The Journal of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (JCBT) is an Open Access, peer-reviewed publication that is committed to exploring the most effective cognitive behavioural treatments available with a focus on the clinical application of evidence-based practices. The journal is devoted to providing psychological and clinical professionals, students, and other interested individuals with the latest research and reviews on cognitive behavioural psychotherapy, applied behaviour analysis, and mental health interventions.

JCBT seeks to evaluate and disseminate advances in cognitive behavioural therapy and applied behaviour analysis research and practice. The emphasis is on their implementation in clinical practice with an emphasis on the development and evaluation of interventions. Articles are welcome from all areas of clinical psychology, psychiatry and other health care professions, as well as in behaviour analysis, and from both basic and applied research perspectives.

JCBT also provides a platform for the discussion of the intersection of cognitive, behavioural and neuroscience research. The journal publishes both Original Research Articles and Clinical Reviews related to cognitive behavioural therapy and applied behaviour analysis among different target populations. Topics of interest include the development and evaluation of psychotherapeutic interventions, the use of evidence-based practices, the integration of cognitive-behavioural therapies with other modalities, and the facilitation of cognitive-behavioural interventions.

The journal also seeks to examine emerging issues in cognitive, behavioural, and neuroscience research. Areas of particular interest include the development and evaluation of cognitive-behavioural treatments, the integration of cognitive and behavioural therapies with other modalities, and the utilisation and dissemination of evidence-based practices. All submissions should be theoretically and empirically consistent.

JCBT is dedicated to providing practitioners, researchers, and those in training with the latest research and reviews in cognitive behaviour therapy and applied behaviour analysis. The journal encourages the submission of articles of interest to a variety of disciplines, including psychology, psychiatry, social work, public health, and medical disciplines. Submissions that increase our understanding of the implementation, effectiveness, and efficacy of cognitive behavioural interventions, and that contribute to the development of
evidence-based practice is encouraged.
