Aims and Scope

Journal of Plant and Animal Ecology is a peer-reviewed, international, open access journal dedicated to providing a platform to exchange and disseminate findings on the ecology of plants and animals together. The journal focuses on both fundamental and applied research concerning all aspects of the ecology of plants and animals. JPAE is a forum for the exchange and dissemination of high-quality knowledge on topics such as taxonomy, conservation, abundances, distributions, threats, toxicological effects, and socio-economic aspects of plant and animal ecology.

The scope of the journal includes the direct effects of climate change, anthropogenic stress, land use changes and global deforestation on the ecology of plants and animals. The journal provides a comprehensive platform for authors to publish their research so that it is available to the relevant scientific community in an open access format and can be cited and referred to. Papers concentrating on behavioral, environmental, developmental, and community conservation will be looked at. Current discoveries pertaining to biodiversity, management, and paleoecology are also of interest.

JPAE encourages authors to publish their work with a focus on the following topics: population dynamics, conservation and management, sustainable use of habitats, species interactions, dynamics and adaptation, climate change, impacts on biodiversity and ecology, global environmental change, and relevant socio-economic aspects, Pant and Animal Interactions, Ecology, Conservation, and Resource Management, genetics, molecular ecology, terrestrial and aquatic ecology, ecology of arid, semi-arid, coastal, and urban systems, biotechnology, and conservation. 

The journal publishes original research articles and review articles focusing on various aspects of plant and animal ecology, such as biotic interactions, niche construction, habitat conservation, seed dispersal, animal behavior and adaptation, biogeography, and diversity and population dynamics, including ecological restoration, conservation biology, population genetics, animal behavior, evolutionary ecology, and community ecology, behavioural ecology, population dynamics, plant-animal interactions, community ecology, chemical ecology, conservation ecology, predator-prey interactions, symbiosis and evolutionary ecology. JPAE strives to provide a platform for research that has both rigorous scientific content and is accessible to a diverse international readership. We encourage researchers from diverse backgrounds to submit their work for publication in the journal.
