Biography
Dr. Isaac John Umaru is affiliated with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, where he contributes to research in phytochemistry and natural product sciences. His scholarly work focuses on the extraction, screening, and biological evaluation of plant-derived compounds, with particular emphasis on antibacterial and antioxidant properties of medicinal plants. His most-cited publication, "Phytochemical Screening of Essential Oils and Antibacterial Activity and Antioxidant Properties of Barringtonia asiatica (L) Leaf Extract" (2019), has garnered 23 citations and exemplifies his expertise in exploring the therapeutic potential of tropical flora.
