Biography

Dr. Karunamoorthy Jayamoorthy is Associate Professor and Research Coordinator for Science at St. Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai, India. He earned his PhD from Annamalai University, building upon his earlier M.Phil completed in 2011, with doctoral research focused on organic light-emitting diodes. His research expertise encompasses materials chemistry, nanomaterials, and imidazole derivatives, with significant contributions to the spectroscopic characterization of nanomaterial-plant interactions. His most-cited work, "Effect of bulk and nano-Fe2O3 particles on peanut plant leaves studied by Fourier transform infrared spectral studies" (2016), has received 97 citations, and he has authored over 15 indexed publications in synthetic organic chemistry and fluorescent chemosensors.
