Biography
Dr. Hemant Chavan, PhD, MSc, serves as Assistant Professor at A. S. P. College Devrukh, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India, where he conducts research in organic synthesis, bioorganic chemistry, and medicinal chemistry. He completed his graduate studies at Solapur University and Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of heterocyclic compounds with therapeutic potential, including pyrazolines, pyrazoles, quinoxalines, and pyranopyrimidines, employing green chemistry methodologies such as solvent-free conditions, aqueous media, and natural catalysts. His most-cited work, "Synthesis and pharmacological evaluation of combretastatin-A4 analogs of pyrazoline and pyridine derivatives as anticancer, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agents" (2018), has received 26 citations and exemplifies his contributions to developing bioactive molecules with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer properties.
