Overview
Evolutionary Biology Plant Genomes and Evolution is the study of how plants change over time at the genetic level. It is important because it can help us better understand how plants respond to environmental factors, adapt to changing environments, and become disease resistant. This information can also be used to create hardier, more productive crop plants that can help feed the world’s growing population. Furthermore, these insights can be used for biotechnological research, helping scientists create new plant-based medicines or industrial products.
