Aims And Scope

Journal of Behavior Therapy and Mental Health (JBTM) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal devoted to the dissemination and accessibility of scientific evidence on mental health and behavior therapy. The journal publishes current research, reviews, and opinions in the fields of psychopathology, behavioral science and therapy, psychopathological approaches, clinical diagnostics, psychotherapy, psychological assessment, health services, consultancy, and interventions.
 

JBTM welcomes diverse research and discussions on cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and other therapeutic approaches, as well as on the biopsychosocial and ecological aspects of behavior and mental health. The aim of the journal is to facilitate the exchange of ideas, opinions, and evidence from diverse perspectives, in order to promote and extend the understanding and treatment of mental health and behavioral problems. The journal encourages research that explores novel approaches and interventions in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of mental health and behavioral issues.
 

The journal also aims to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, by providing reliable and up-to-date information on available treatments, health services and interventions. The journal strives to foster an interdisciplinary dialogue across all areas of mental health, including educational, social, political, economic and cultural contexts.


We invite authors to submit manuscripts that contribute to the understanding and practice of behavior therapy, mental health, and psychopathology. The journal welcomes high-quality, original, and timely submissions in clinical, theoretical, and scientific areas, including clinical practice and research, public health, epidemiology, prevention and evaluation, diagnostic assessments, interventions, program development and evaluation, public policy, and community mental health. Overall, the JBTM is a great platform for researchers in the field of behavior therapy and mental health to publish their findings, as they will benefit from a rapid review process and free online access to the published version of their article.
 

The scope of JBTM includes a broad range of topics related to mental health, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, psychosocial interventions, brain-based treatments, mindfulness-based stress reduction, acceptance and commitment therapy, and psychoeducation. The journal also publishes articles on topics related to the assessment of mental health, such as assessment tools for various disorders, risk factors for mental illness, and the development of meaningful scales for measuring mental health. Furthermore, JBTM provides a platform for disseminating various research findings that are vital for informing the practice and policy of mental healthcare.
 

JBTM is dedicated to the study, advancement and sharing of research findings related to behavior therapy and mental health, psychology, counseling, psychotherapy, behavioral and social sciences and the examination of the causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses and various diseases, as well as the impact of social, environmental, and psychological factors on mental health. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research across clinical, social, cognitive, and affective sciences, and is dedicated to providing an unbiased platform for academic and scientific discussion.
