Journal of Plant Cell Development

Aims and Scope

Journal of Plant Cell Development (JPCD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing fundamental and applied research in plant cell development. It serves as a platform for disseminating cutting-edge discoveries in plant genetics, physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell science.

JPCD publishes high-quality original research, reviews, methods, and commentaries in the following key areas:

  • Plant Cell Development & Morphogenesis: Mechanisms governing plant organ formation, cell differentiation, and tissue development.
  • Molecular & Genetic Regulation: Gene expression, epigenetics, transcriptional regulation, and functional genomics in plant cells.
  • Cell Signaling & Hormone Pathways: Signal transduction, hormonal control of growth and development, and plant-environment interactions.
  • Cell Physiology & Biochemistry: Cellular homeostasis, metabolic pathways, stress responses, and transport mechanisms.
  • Plant Pathology & Disease Resistance: Host-pathogen interactions, molecular defense mechanisms, and plant immune responses.
  • Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering: Innovations in crop improvement, genome editing, and synthetic biology applications in plant science.
  • Ecophysiology & Environmental Adaptation: The impact of environmental factors on plant cell development, including responses to climate change.

JPCD encourages interdisciplinary research, including the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in plant cell studies. Submissions exploring AI for cell differentiation, growth, division, and signaling are welcome. The journal fosters collaboration among plant biologists, biochemists, geneticists, and ecologists, aiming to enhance our understanding of plant cell function and its broader implications for agriculture, sustainability, and biotechnology.
