Aims and Scope

Journal of Psychophysiology Practice and Research (JPR) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing research in the field of psychophysiology. JPR focuses on the physical and physiological responses of individuals to psychological and sociocultural stimuli, and their associated changes in behavior. The journal encourages the submission of innovative research, theoretical works, and clinical findings related to the study of psychophysiological responses and their association with mental health issues, investigations of social interactions, and exploration of the mental state of individuals in different contexts.

The scope of the journal includes psychophysiology, psychobiology, psychosomatics, neuroscience, behavioral medicine, psychosocial aspects of psychophysiological processes, physiology, psychology, psychiatry, and related topics. Studies may include basic research, clinical applications, animal models, and epidemiological studies. JPR welcomes research articles, reviews, case studies, and theoretical papers that explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques in psychophysiological data analysis, interpretation, and clinical applications.

JPR publishes topics such as abnormal psychopathology, psychiatric disorders, general psychopathology, biological correlates of mental health, psycho-social phenomena, and psychobiological interactions. The journal also publishes retrospective articles that provide insight into the study of psychophysiological functioning and its associated difficulties. Additionally, studies on the links between mental health and biological, physiological, and psychobiological responses are also encouraged.
