Overview
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science that focuses on systematically changing and improving socially significant behaviors. It utilizes principles of learning, based in part on lab experiments, to create and evaluate meaningful change in behavior. ABA is used extensively in a variety of settings, such as education, healthcare, work places, and the home, to help individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health problems, and other challenging behaviors. ABA is also used to improve performance of students, employees, athletes, and other individuals without a disability. This science helps individuals change their own behavior, as well as that of others, and also to improve their own lives, as well as the lives of those around them. ABA is an effective intervention that has been thoroughly studied and repeatedly shown to be effective in helping people of all ages and abilities.
