Journal of Verbal Behavior

Aims and Scope

Journal of Verbal Behavior (JVB) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing our understanding of verbal processes and their underlying mechanisms. We provide a global platform for researchers, educators, clinicians, and practitioners to share innovative findings and insights into the acquisition, and application of verbal behavior across diverse contexts.

Scope & Focus Areas:

  • Investigations into verbal operants, classifications, and the theoretical underpinnings of verbal behavior.
  • Research on the cognitive and developmental aspects of language acquisition and communication.
  • Empirical studies examining the dynamics of speech production, perception, and comprehension.
  • Experimental research on methods and techniques for measuring and analyzing verbal behavior.
  • Studies on verbal behavior in infancy and across the lifespan, including research on developmental disabilities.
  • Insights into the progression and milestones of language development in both typical and atypical populations.
  • Research integrating insights from psychology, education, communication, linguistics, and speech-language pathology.
  • Applications of verbal behavior research in classroom settings, therapeutic interventions, and social communication.

JVB is interested in research that explores the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and verbal behavior, including but not limited to natural language processing, machine learning, and computational linguistics. It covers a wide range of topics mentioned below, not strictly limited. For more details reach us at [email protected]
